We stayed only one night in Puebla, not quite as much as we would have liked… Thanks to a very tiny mistake of the manager of the youth hostel we decided to stay at… but… well, anyway, we had the chance to enjoy the celebrations of Independance Day in that beautiful city.
We had a walk to the Zocalo in the evening, the streets were quite crowded. Police check points here and there to control the peaceful crowd. On the main square, there was a big stage set up, music in the air, and dances, dances… It was really nice and the kids were very much intrigued by what was happening. We stood there a while, just observing, and then finally decided to head to the food stalls and grab something to eat.
It was a really nice evening. We all wished we could have stayed longer and have a chance to explore the city a little bit more. By the next morning, we had not found a room in another place, so we had to take the road again, and head towards our next destination: Oaxaca.
